Rainy days can cause boredom and chaos in a home full of kids. While you don’t want the kids entertaining themselves by tormenting one another, you don’t want them zoning out in front of the television all day either. This is why you need to have a rainy day plan in store to surprise them with when they wake up to yet another rainy day.

Activities that allow your children to act out their imaginations are sure to be a hit. Set up an area to serve as a stage and sit back and enjoy a talent show complete with musical instruments made from spoons and pots. If you desire a calmer, quieter activity, then an indoor picnic at the beach might be more to your liking. You will need a blanket, a beach ball, a picnic basket filled with food and of course, everyone should dress in their bathing suits. Simply spread the blanket out in the middle of the room where everyone can sit and enjoy their picnic and let the fun begin. For the older children, board games and art projects will help keep them from being bored while keeping them from playing video games all day.
